ISLAMABAD: A high level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss the Line of Control situation in the backdrop of unprovoked Indian firing.
Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and National Security Adviser Naser Janjua briefed the meeting about the recent unprovoked Indian firing on the LOC that on Tuesday claimed the lives of nine civilians and three soldiers.
Director General ISI Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar was also present on the occasion.
The government of Pakistan will not back off from moral, diplomatic and political support of people of Kashmir, saying that firing on innocent civilians is intolerable, PM said in meeting.
He called upon the international community to take notice of Indian brutality and play role in the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
