PESHAWAR: The senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Khyber Pakhtukhwa (KP) have begun the mobilisation of party workers for the Raiwind march likely to be held on September 30.
According to sources, the Peshawar Regional President of the PTI, the Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) Shah Farman, Atif Khan, Iftikhar Mashvani and the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Ali Muhammad Khan, initiated a series of speeches and corner meetings in various union councils of Mardan.
Speaking to a large number of party workers at the residence of Atif Khan, Shah Farman said that Mardan had always been politically crucial in the political movements and the region was also enriched with political leaders as well.
He informed the workers to be prepared for a new struggle under the umbrella of Imran Khan against the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) corruption, as revealed by the Panama leaks.
Motivating the party workers he said that youth, lawyers and every worker of the party including men and women should prepare themselves for the march and accomplish the goal of the party Chairman Imran Khan.
“The PTI has committed to give a logical conclusion to the issue of Panama and the Raiwind march to deal a final blow to the already corrupt system of the PML-N in the country” he added.
He claimed that youth of the PTI, unlike the Islamabad Dharna, had braced themselves for more as the PML-N had the majority of Gullo Butt in their camp.
The Education Minister, Atif Khan, who was also present at the campaign, asked the party workers to make the caravan of the PTI against the Panama leaks successful and put their lion’s share in the march form KP.
He said that the PTI was the only party in the country which had ruled out a reconciliation policy towards the prime minister after the Panama revelation and Party Chairman Imran Khan was the only leader battling against the menace of corruption for years.
The Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and a vocal leader of the PTI from Mardan said that the corrupt leadership and certain politicised institutions of the country had again compelled the PTI workers and leaders to unite against the PML-N.
He said that the Raiwind march was meant to expose the true picture of the PLM-N leadership to the world, who, through back door channels looted the country’s assets and purchased personal property abroad.
“The PTI workers were the only assets of Imran Khan and they will always follow the call of the party chief,” Ali Muhammad Khan added.
The leaders of the PTI also paid visits to different union councils of Mardan and held corner meetings with the local body representatives in this regard.
