RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif Friday attended the concluding ceremony of the fifth Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System (PACES) championship in Lahore.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) here, the army chief said that despite modern war technology the fitness of youngsters is of great importance.
Lauding the capabilities of youths, General Sharif said that the youths of army have shown remarkable performance in every walk of life, including battlefield and sports.
The championships, held in Lahore on April 27-May 6, tested army’s war capabilities. In physical competitions, the Rawalpindi Corps team secured first position while the Karachi team bagged the second position. A total of 275 army players participated in these competitions.
